I was born and raised in Langhorne, Pennsylvania where it didn't take long for me to realize my dream of becoming an elementary teacher. When I thought about my future, being a teacher was always in my vision.
I went to Kutztown University where I studied Early Childhood Education, grades PreK- 4. During my time at Kutztown University I was involved in NAEYC, intramural sports, and Kappa Delta Pi- an international honor society. It was during my senior year that I became President of Kappa Delta Pi. One of my favorite activities in college was being an Alaska Distance Interventionist during my junior and senior year. This involved tutoring 1-2 students twice a week for 15 weeks via Blackboard Collaborate. I completed my student teaching assignments in second grade in inner-city Reading, PA and my second placement was in a full-day kindergarten classroom in Kutztown, PA. I am a proud teacher that loves going to work each and every day! |
